Running on Faith Weekday Devotions (Wednesday, January 11, 2023):
Mt 23:13–29 “But woe to you, scribes & Pharisees, hypocrites,…”
“Woe to you, scribes & Pharisees, hypocrites, because you devour widows’ houses, & for a pretense you make long prayers; therefore you will receive greater condemnation.
“Woe to you, scribes & Pharisees, hypocrites,…”
“Woe to you, blind guides, who say,…”
“Woe to you, scribes & Pharisees, hypocrites! …”
“Woe to you, scribes & Pharisees, hypocrites!”
“Woe to you, scribes & Pharisees, hypocrites! … So you, too, outwardly appear righteous to men, but inwardly you are full of hypocrisy & lawlessness.”
“Woe to you, scribes & Pharisees, hypocrites!”
Woe = a horrifying interjection of grief or denunciation.
Hypocrisy, double standards for self vs others, is abhorrent to God!
God is never fooled!
Humbly ask the Lord to reveal & remove any hypocrisy that might be in you.
Humbly submit to your every thought, word, & action to the Holy Spirit’s guidance.
