Mt 2:9–10 “After hearing the king, they went their way; & the star, which they had seen in the east, went on before them until it came & stood over the place where the Child was. When they saw the star, they rejoiced exceedingly with great JOY.”
“Joy” appears 226X in the Bible! Meaning “Great happiness & pleasure” or “Jubilation”
‘Joy’ is often expressed idiomatically. Ex. ‘my heart is dancing’.
Gal 5:18, 22, 25 “But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the Law.”
“the fruit of the Spirit is love, JOY, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness”
“If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit.”
The Spirit, thus His fruit, is more active in our lives when we focus on & praise the Lord Jesus Christ. Conversely, ingrown eyeballs inhibit Joy!
Mediate on all that God thru Christ by the power of the Holy Spirit does for & in your life, & His Joy will effervesce from your entire existence.
