Why do we try to stay scripture focused?
“So Jesus (the Word made flesh) was saying to those Jews who had believed Him, “If you continue in My word, then you are truly disciples of Mine; and you will know the truth (Jesus Christ), and the truth (Jesus Christ, the Word made flesh) will make you free.”
2 Timothy 3:16 “All Scripture (this context refers specifically to the Old Testament) is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness”
Conversely, avoid “ear tickling” deceitful messages (2 Ti 4:3-4).
Ro 10:17 “So (salvific) faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ (the entire Bible).”
I loved studying at Dallas Theological Seminary because they require the diligent, expositional study of all 66 books of the Bible. Digesting the entire Bible yields knowing God’s love, mercy, sovereignty, & provision.
