Running on Faith Weekday Devotions:

“I can’t, He (Jesus Christ) can, We (Jesus & me) are! It’s not me, but Christ who is in me. Without Jesus Christ, I am nothing!”

“I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing.” (John 15:5)

With varying verbiage, this been one of favorite confessions while running over the years.

The results are amazing, yet never guaranteed.

Unfortunately, I have also suffered from inwardly focused on MY power of over my mind & physical fitness. The results are despicable!

The Bible is filled with God’s anger against pride; man’s inward focus. This includes belief of trying to achieve without God; & man denying God can use him.

Exodus 4:11–12 “The Lord said to him, “Who has made man’s mouth? Or who makes him mute or deaf, or seeing or blind?

Is it not I, the Lord? Now then go, & I, even I, will be with your mouth, & teach you what you are to say.”

Yesterday, I felt led to read 1/7th of the Bible every night for the next 28 days. Initially, my inward eyes began doubting. Then, “I can’t, He can, We are!”

When assessing possibilities & challenges, do you focus inward or on Christ?

Remember:

“I can’t, He (Jesus Christ) can, We (Jesus & me) are! It’s not me, but Christ who is in me.”
