Luke 16:13–15: “And He said to them, “You are those who justify yourselves in the sight of men, but God knows your hearts; for that which is highly esteemed among men is detestable in the sight of God.”
God weighs our hearts: 1 Sam 16:7, Prov 21:2, Acts 1:24, Ro 8:27.
The Lord is pleased whose heart’s consuming passion is to know, serve, & please Him.
2 Cor 5:9: “Therefore we also have as our ambition, whether at home or absent, to be pleasing to Him.”
Conversely, anything our heart desires MORE than God is detestable to Him. Because, it has then become an idol, a false god, to us.
As stated in my 2nd book, always ask the Lord how/if this product/service/property/conversation pleases & glorifies Him; then *listen*!
Fervently seeking the Lord, His wisdom, & insight far exceeds our own intellect or any other piece of creation.
