Acts 6:8, 10–15: “Stephen, full of grace & power, was performing great wonders & signs (Jn 4:48) among the people.”
“But they (Synagogue of the Freedmen) were unable to cope with the wisdom & the Spirit with which (Stephen) was speaking.
Then they secretly induced men to say, ‘We have heard him speak blasphemous words against Moses & against God.’
And they stirred up the people, the elders & the scribes… & dragged him away & brought him before the Council (Sanhedrin/Jewish Court).
They put forward false witnesses (against Stephen)
And fixing their gaze on him, all sitting in the Council saw his (Stephen’s) face like the face of an angel.” (Ex 34:29, 35)
Stephen later “…saw Jesus standing at the right hand of God”; a position of judgment. He was stoned to death & went to the Lord in heaven.
Even the most confident Liars do not fool God!
If/when people LIE to DESTROY you, focus on Jesus Christ & know that your face radiates God’s Glory.

- Imagine Stephen listening to the false witnesses and those making blasphemous words against God and Abraham. How would you respond?

4. When we focus on God and His word everyday, we will radiate with the Light of Christ when persecuted.
