Proverbs 7:1–3: “My son, keep my words
And treasure my commandments within you. Keep my commandments and live, And my
teaching as the apple of your eye. Bind them on your fingers; Write them on the
tablet of your heart.”
What are God’s commandments?
Matthew 22:36–40: “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?” And He said to him, “ ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the great and foremost commandment.
The second is like it, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ On these two commandments depend the whole Law and the Prophets.”
We now have this written on our hearts by the Holy Spirit (Jeremiah 31:33; Hebrews 10:15–16).
When we walk with the Lord, we genuinely love God & others. We desire God’s absolute best for all. This eliminates things such as greed, jealousy, envy, immorality, gossip, slander, and deceit.
Let this love saturate your heart, mind, & soul.
