Matthew 6:24: “No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and wealth.”
Do you notice this passage does Not say that we cannot posses both an eternal intimate relationship with God thru Jesus & wealth?
Do you notice that we cannot love & serve both God & wealth?
1Timothy 6:10–11: “For the LOVE of money is a root of all sorts of evil…”
The roots of differing plants differ in their inumerable properties, such as their depth, breadth, adaptability, & uptake of water & nutrients.
Roots affect the plant’s productivity in acidic, neutral, or alkaline soil. Roots affect a plant’s drought resistance, they “suck-up” soil-water & nutrients in arid soils.
Similarly, the Love of money uptakes only greed, envy, & anger, etc. The Love of Christ uptakes only forgiveness, mercy, joy, & peace, etc. (cf. Galatians 5:16-26 – Deeds of the Flesh, and Fruit of the Spirit).
