Running on Faith Weekday Devotions:
Why do you or your loved ones endure health or other challenge(s)?
In a recent discussion, Jackie Stiles shared that she asks, “Is this (challenge) happening to me or for me?” For those unaware, this Hall of Fame athlete was diagnosed with eye cancer in December 2017.
John 9:1–3: As He passed by, He saw a man blind from birth. And His disciples asked Him, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he would be born blind?”
Jesus answered, “It was neither that this man sinned, nor his parents; but it was so that the works of God might be displayed in him.”
Whether Job, Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, Abebnego, Lazarus, this blind man, or others who suffered in the Bible, God – Father, Son, & Holy Spirit are always glorified in their rescue.
Consider how God may be glorified, &/or Christ revealed as Savior, to others thru your challenges. Perhaps it’s displaying strong, consistent faith. And/or you, your family, or friends engages with because of your challenge(s).
Yes, God allows challenges to occur for you so that Jesus is glorified!
