Running on Faith Weekday Devotions:
Why do you Labor/Work?
I recently saw a meme on social media that effectively said, “Who cares how the earth was created?”
The wise care, that’s who! Our understanding of creation is foundational to our motive for working.
Genesis 1:26–27: “Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; and let them rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over the cattle and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”
We work to serve God and His people. This worldview creates a Labor of Love regardless of the tasks.
Unless we work and use God’s creation to serve and glorify HIM, both our work and creation become our idles.
In everything you do, in every decision you make regarding the earth, raw materials, your effort, your integrity & most importantly people; are you pleasing the Lord?
Do your actions & decisions correlate with God’s character?!
Does your work glorify the Lord Jesus?
Heavenly Father, we ask in Jesus’ name that you give us deeper insight on how our Labor serves You.
